File Uploads in Forms
Section titled “File Uploads in Forms”Add a file upload field to your form so respondents can attach documents, images, or other files with their submission.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Required permission:
forms:create - You should know how to build a form first
1. Open your form in the builder
Section titled “1. Open your form in the builder”Go to Create → Forms and click on the form you want to edit.
2. Add a File Upload field
Section titled “2. Add a File Upload field”Drag the File Upload field type from the panel into your form.
3. Configure the field
Section titled “3. Configure the field”Click on the field to open its settings:
- Label — name the field so respondents know what to upload (“Resume,” “Abstract,” “Project Photo”)
- Required — toggle on if they must attach a file
- Help text — tell them what format or size you expect
4. Save
Section titled “4. Save”Click Save.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Files are stored securely. Only organizers with the right permissions can access uploaded files.
- You can download uploaded files when reviewing responses.
- Large files take longer to upload. If respondents are on slow connections, keep file requirements reasonable.
- Need to collect multiple files? Add more than one File Upload field, each with a clear label.
