Publishing and Sharing Forms
Publishing and Sharing Forms
Section titled “Publishing and Sharing Forms”Publish your form to make it available to respondents. Get a shareable link and a QR code you can put on flyers, emails, or your website.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Required permissions:
forms:publish, forms:share - You need a saved form. See Building a Form.
1. Open the Forms page
Section titled “1. Open the Forms page”Go to Create → Forms in the sidebar.
2. Publish the form
Section titled “2. Publish the form”Find your form in the list and click Publish. This makes the form publicly accessible. Anyone with the link can fill it out.
3. Copy the public link
Section titled “3. Copy the public link”After publishing, you’ll see a public link. Copy it and share it however you want — email, website, group chat.
4. Generate a QR code
Section titled “4. Generate a QR code”Click the QR Code option to generate a scannable code. Download the image and add it to printed materials — flyers, posters, sign-in sheets. People scan it with their phone and land directly on the form.
5. Close submissions when you’re done
Section titled “5. Close submissions when you’re done”When you’ve collected enough responses, toggle the form to Closed. The public link still exists, but visitors see a message that the form is no longer accepting submissions.
You can reopen it later if you need to.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Publishing doesn’t notify anyone. You still need to distribute the link yourself.
- Closing a form doesn’t delete responses. Everything already submitted stays safe.
- You can edit a published form. Changes take effect immediately for anyone who opens the link after you save. People who already started filling it out won’t see the changes mid-submission.
- If you need to restrict who can submit, consider requiring authentication or using the form for internal purposes only.
