Creating Your Organization

Before you can do anything in Faire Portal, you need an organization. This is your home base — where all your judges, forms, students, and scores live.

  • You need an authorization code. It looks like FAIRE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. If you don’t have one, contact Faire Portal support.

After signing up and logging in, you’ll see the Create Your Fair page. If you already have an organization and want to create another, look for the option in your account menu.

Type your code into the Authorization Code field. It validates in real time — you’ll see a green checkmark when it’s accepted, or a red error if the code is invalid or expired.

Enter your faire’s name in the What is the name of your fair? field. Something like “Orange County Science Fair” or “Springfield Regional Faire.”

Choose a short subdomain in the Choose your subdomain field. This becomes part of your URL: yourname.faireportal.com. Keep it simple — lowercase letters, no spaces.

The system checks availability as you type. You’ll see a confirmation when it’s open.

Hit Create Fair. That’s it. You’ll land on your new dashboard, ready to set things up.

  • Your subdomain can’t be changed after creation, so choose carefully.
  • The authorization code can only be used once.
  • Your URL will be yoursubdomain.faireportal.com — this is what you’ll share with judges and students.
